The author has signed onto produce the upcoming independent romantic comedy ‘Austenland,’ Reelzchannel is reporting. The film will mark the first time Meyer will produce a movie that isn’t based on a book she has written. ‘Austenland,’ which is based on the novel of the same name by Shannon Hale, is scheduled to begin filming later this week in the U.K. The movie will star Keri Russell, JJ Feild of ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ fame and ‘Flight of the Conchords’ Bret McKenzie.
