Bunraku isn’t your standard action film; it boasts a degree of style and aestheticism that’s so striking, it almost transcends the story. In honor of the film’s September 30th theatrical release, mixed media artist Jeremy Kenyon Lockyer Corbell hit the Chateau Marmont to show off a series of art pieces inspired by the film. Bunraku‘s Josh Hartnett, Kevin McKidd, Ron Perlman, director Guy Moshe and more were all on hand to celebrate the unveiling and we’ve got an inside look at all the action. Title: Bunraku Directed By: Guy Moshe Starring: Josh Hartnett, Gackt, Woody Harrelson, Ron Perlman, Kevin McKidd, Demi Moore, Emily Kaiho Based on Transformers: Dark of the Moon‘s performance, there’s clearly a nice chunk of moviegoers who are okay with feature films that are visual spectacles and nothing more. However, not only isn’t Bunraku a Michael Bay blockbuster, but it’s highly stylized, instantly narrowing its target audience. Then again, by focusing on the fans of artistic hand-to-hand combat, Bunraku is poised to head right into more open arms. Kevin McKidd Up For Thor

“Rome” and “Journeyman” actor Kevin McKidd claims he’s still in the running to play Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, in the upcoming big-screen adaptation of the Marvel Comics character, according to a report by IGN. McKidd recently told IGN that he’s a contender for the lead role and that there has been “a lot of back and forth” between various people about the project, but could confirm nothing else, but that nothing has been determined.
