Hilary Duff was fired from the upcoming remake ‘The Story of Bonnie and Clyde’ soon after announcing her pregnancy last week, TMZ is reporting. The film’s director, Tonya Holly, said that because the former Disney star won’t be available to begin shooting until June 2012, she had to begin looking at other actresses to play bank robber Bonnie Parker. Variety reports that actors Hilary Duff and Kevin Zegers have signed on as the lead actors in Tonya S. Holly’s indie feature, The Story of Bonnie and Clyde. However, it is also reported that the new film will not be a remake, but an entirely separate film. Holly will direct the film from her own script, which was inspired from reading old newspaper articles about the gangster pair in an abandoned house on her family’s property. The original Oscar-winning 1967 film starred Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty as the famous duo.
