When “Titanic” was first released in the 1990s, it was a huge success– “Twilight” and “Harry Potter” levels of success. The casting list for Quentin Tarantino’s “Southern” “Django Unchained” has been one of the biggest developing stories in entertainment, mostly due to the against-the-grain casting, and it’s about to get even bigger and crazier now that there’s news that Sacha Baron Cohen might be joining the cast. According to MovieLine, Baron Cohen could be playing Scotty Harmony, a slave owner who buys Kerry Washington’s character Broomhilda as a “female companion.” Sacha Baron Cohen is an actor who’s “type” hasn’t been pinned down yet, such as playing the hero or bad guy it would seem. The trailer for one of the potential Oscar-nominated movies of 2011, “J. Edgar,” has been released. I say it’s a potential Oscar-nominated film not only because it’s the (supposedly) unflinching, realistic biopic about a former U.S. president, but it is also directed by Oscar veterans Clint Eastwood and Leonardo DiCaprio. The trailer for the film is below the post, and I have to say, that it looks really good. The trailer really brings across the totalitarian nature Hoover had over the country. There hasn’t been much news about the biopic “J. Edgar” in a long time, but finally, Entertainment Weekly has the first look at the film. In the pictures posted by EW, DiCaprio is in costume as J. Edgar Hoover and taking direction from Clint Eastwood.
