Film producer Dan Lin is forming a television division with his company Lin Pictures through a deal with Warner Bros. Television, Deadline is reporting. Lin has signed television development executive/producer Jennifer Gwartz to run the new division, which is aiming to develop drama and comedy series. The shows are expected to include the aspirational, uplifting stories that are often included in Lin’s projects. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. is bringing Stephen King’s It to the big screen in a new adaptation produced by Lin Pictures and Vertigo Entertainment. Dave Kajganich is set to write the script about a group of kids called the Losers Club that encounter a child-preying creature called It. When the creature resurfaces twenty years later, the clan meets up again to destroy what truly haunts them.
