Here’s our exclusive interview with Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park and ask him a few questions about the upcoming album and their role in the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen soundtrack. Transformers opens everywhere on June 24, 2009.

Multi-Platinum Alternative rock band Linkin Park have just released their much-anticipated track for Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen. The single “New Divide” will serve as the official theme song for the movie which is slated for silver screen release on June 24th. Working intimately with composers Steve Jablonsky and Hans Zimmer for the project, Linkin Park contributed their hard-driving, alternative rock sensibility to the film’s score in addition to the title track. “New Divide,” is now available exclusively on iTunes. Linkin Park’s Newest Single “NEW DIVIDE” from the TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN soundtrack is probably their most dynamic sounding song yet. It is the first song they have put out in quite a while that is not a clone of the prior hit. It has a very spooky sounding intro that helps the main riff hit home. It really catches on in all the right places and Chester Bennington sounds like a more seasoned and mature singer than ever before. Los Angeles, CA (April 10, 2008) Orange County hard rockers Atreyu have been tapped by Linkin Park to headline the Revolution Stage on this year’s Projekt Revolution tour. The tour launches July 16 at the Tweeter Center in Boston.
Atreyu, who are currently co-headlining the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour with Avenged Sevenfold, has just scored their first Top Ten hit at Alternative radio with new hit single “Falling Down,” which currently takes the No. 4 spot on the chart. The track is the fastest-rising song to hit the top 10 thus far this year. Its companion video is currently in rotation on Fuse. Fans can view the video at www.youtube.com/atreyu.
