Matthew Michael Carnahan Tapped To Rewrite World War Z

Comingsoon.net is reporting that Paramount Pictures has brought Matthew Michael Carnahan in to adapt Max Brooks’ hit book “World War Z”, about a world war against an infestation of flesh craving zombies. Writer J. Michael Straczynski was initially tapped to penned a draft of the highly-anticipated film adaptation of Brooks’ book. Carnahan has also written on “The Kingdom”, “Lions for Lambs” and “State of Play”. Marc Forster is attached to direct “World War Z”. Artist Daniel LuVisi has submitted a piece of his art entitled “The Battle of Yonkers” in an attempt to land a job on World War Z, Paramount Pictures zombie movie based on the best-selling Max Brooks novel. Writer J. Michael Straczynski adapted the story for the screen with Quantum of Solace director Marc Forester helming. Synopsis: Ten years after the human victory over the world wide Zombie epidemic, referred to as World War Z, Max Brooks scours the world collecting the stories and experiences of those who have survived the conflict that almost eradicated humanity.
