New Line Picks Up Nutcracker Reimagining
Tuesday, December 8th, 2009New Line has picked up a pitch for a radically re-imagined version of the classic “The Nutcracker And The Mouse King” from writer Darren Lemke. Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey of Temple Hill Entertainment are producing the project, which puts the story in a more fantasy/action-adventure setting. The story is about a 12-year-old girl who is given a nutcracker doll by her grandfather one Christmas eve. At night, the nutcracker comes to life and takes her on an adventure against the evil Mouse King and his army of rodents. Stay tuned for more…
