A New York court has denied the creator of the Ghost Rider character, Gary Friedrich, the rights to the supernatural hero, Film School Rejects is reporting. The writer claimed he only signed away the comic book rights to the character to Marvel. However, he said the rights to any other places in which Ghost Rider appears, including the successful 2007 Nicolas Cage film of the same name and its upcoming sequel, ‘Angel of Vengeance,’ should revert back to him. Friedrich worked as a freelancer in the early 1970s for the House of Ideas. Part of his work included creating Ghost Rider, a motorcycle stuntman whose soul is taken by the…

Well, it has been almost 4 years, and 5 movies in the making and the first teaser trailer of the much anticipated (and hyped) “The Avengers” has hit the Internet. And surprisingly, it’s not a bootleg, it’s the real thing. Marvel Studios and Paramount Pictures have been cooking up this ad campaign since 2008 when the first “Iron Man” movie was a box office success. Since 2008, Marvel Studio has released a movie for every member of the Avengers to serve as an origin story until 2012 when they would all meet up for this movie. Joss Whedon was chosen to direct this film, probably because of his past work…

The chance to go out in front of the camera and play some sort of great hero is something quite a few people would love to do at some point in their life. However, there are a few actors out there who have already not brought one beloved comic book character to life with their performance but two, or in this case three. Of course I’m referring to Chris Evans who’s played the Fantastic Four’s Human Torch/Johnny Storm, Ramona Flowers’ evil ex number 2 Lucas Lee and now is putting a third notch on the comic book belt with Steve Rogers/Captain America. You may have already seen a few reviews…

If there’s one actress you should be keeping your eye on, that’s the talented and gorgeous Hayley Atwell. This is the kind of gal who would rather pick up some sort of weapon and go out into the proverbial battlefield other than sit back at home baking cookies. It’s no wonder that she ended up grabbing the role of Peggy Carter in Joe Johnston’s “Captain America: The First Avenger.” Sure, it’s easy to fix somebody’s hair, throw on an appropriate style of clothing on them, but that doesn’t mean they’re perfect for the part. With Miss Atwell, her personality already has a glint of the spirit and courage that resides…

The one person that every looks on to be the hero in a superhero film tends to be the title character. But what about the other people by his side? Most people would title them as “sidekicks” but they are also equally heroes in their own right, especially James “Bucky” Barnes. The fictional character comes to life in the Joe Johnston-directed picture “Captain America: The First Avenger” which is a great delight to many fans of the comics. The other day we got the awesome opportunity to chat with actor Sebastian Shaw. The sharp-dressed man talked about working with Joe Johnston, Chris Evans and how he originally tried to get…

Chris Hemsworth will reportedly reprise his title superhero role in a sequel to his hit break-out film ‘Thor,’ Deadline is reporting. After the first film garnered positive reviews and earned almost $436.8 million at the box office, Marvel Studios is planning on moving forward with ‘Thor 2;’ however, filmmaker Kenneth Branagh won’t be returning to the follow-up as the director. He will reportedly return to the sequel as a producer, however. ‘Thor 2′ is expected to be released sometime during Summer 2013. It will reportedly hit theaters sometime after Marvel releases another one of its hit superhero sequels, ‘Iron Man 3,’ on May 3, 2013, in conjunction with Disney. Written…

We just need to wait a few months more for Kenneth Branagh’s “Thor” before it finally hits theaters. We’ve had a taste of the Norse god of thunder with a couple of clips, but now we get a better look at the Asgard world through Thor’s eyes in this second trailer. Instead of skimming over what’s going on like in the first official trailer, we get a better grasp of the mythical world of Asgard along with the deadly sibling rivalry between Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and his brother Loki (Tom Hiddelston). The story centers on Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior who’s sent down to Earth as punishment for reigniting…
