Three new live-action television series are in the works at Marvel Studios, Slashfilm.com is reporting. After Disney acquired the studio, Jeph Loeb, who has previously worked on such shows as ‘Lost,’ ‘Heroes,’ ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and ‘Smallville,’ was appointed to run the television division. He decided to bring the three series, based on Marvel superheroes, to the small screen. Spider-Man Film Series Revamped with New Cast and Storyline

The Spider-Man series is getting completely rebooted with a new cast and storyline, Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios announced on Monday, January 11, and will hit theaters during the summer of 2012. The movie will be based on a script written by James Vanderbilt, and will bring Peter Parker back to high school, once again focusing on the teenager grappling with his transformation into the superhero. Deadpool Movie Starring Ryan Reynolds Confirmed

Finally confirming rumors, Fox has confirmed that fresh off the opening-weekend success of “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” development has started for a solo spinoff featuring the fan-favorite character Deadpool, the nonstop-joking, sword-swinging mercenary portrayed in the film by Ryan Reynolds. Reynolds is attached to reprise the character in what is being called “Deadpool.” Lauren Shuler Donner and Marvel Studios would act as producers, and the studio is seeking writers. Deadpool is known as “the merc with a mouth,” a character that first debuted in “New Mutants” in 1991. The Lost Angeles Times’ “Hero Complex” blog is reporting that reportedly there are rumors regarding the surety of Samuel L. Jackson’s role as superspy and SHIELD commander Nick Fury in upcoming Marvel Studios projects such as “Iron Man 2″ and “The Avengers”. Marvel Leans Towards Runaways As Their Post-Avengers Project

Marvel Comics’ smash hit “Runaways” is apparently being eyed by Marvel Studios, the movie branch of the comic book publishers behind this summer’s smash hits “Iron Man” and “The Incredible Hulk”. Iron Man 2 slated for 2010 release

No big surprise, but in a recent interview with actor Terrence Howard, Coming Soon reports that “Iron Man 2″ has already been slated by Marvel Studios. According to the report, shooting will begin sometime in March, 2009 for a 2010 release.
