Matt Damon is reportedly in negotiations to make his directorial debut with the highly sought after film ‘Father Daughter Time: A Tale of Armed Robbery and Eskimo Kisses,’ Deadline is reporting. Warner Bros. ultimately won the distribution rights for the movie. The high bidding war among the studios drew attention as many distributors don’t want to pick up a film that doesn’t already have a confirmed director attached to it. But once Aldrich finished the script and gave it to his manager and agents, they loved it and started  [ Read More ]

Hereafter pulled from theaters in Japan

Posted by monique On March - 14 - 2011 0 Comment

According to Entertainment Weekly and the Associated Press, the film “Hereafter” has been pulled from theaters in Japan this week. The reasoning behind it is due to one very excruciating sequence. In the film, a horrific re-enactment of the 2004 tsunami that hit Indonesia takes place. The scene was considered too traumatic in light of the recent earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan Friday. Satoru Otani, an official for Warner Entertainment Japan Inc., stated the tsunami portion of the film were “not appropriate” for audiences in light of the destruction caused by the natural disaster. The film “Hereafter”, directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Matt Damon, Cécile De France, and  [ Read More ]

Title: The Adjustment Bureau Directed by: George Nolfi Starring: Matt Damon, Emily Blunt and Lisa Thoreson Action movies today often thrive on numerous big-budget stunts and forget about creating developed characters that audiences can relate to. However, his political luck is running out while he’s running for the U.S. Senate. On the night  [ Read More ]

Matt Damon Dishes Out The Latest On 'Liberace' Film

Posted by Melissa Molina On February - 19 - 2011 1 Comment

Matt Damon is just one of those actors who rarely ever gives himself a break from work. He’s been appearing in one project after another for years and is just another person who loves the job he has. How could he not? There are many who would be happy to roll out of bed only to be in front of the camera fake-shooting at some actors as part of their character’s supposed duty to themselves or to some other force in the wings. During an interview where Matt Damon was chattering away about how absurd Steven Soderbergh’s soon-to-be early retirement from filmmaking is, he spilled a little about a much-known  [ Read More ]

True Grit Movie Review

Title: True Grit (2010) Directors: Ethan and Joel Coen Starring: Jeff Bridges, Hailee Steinfeld, Matt Damon, Josh Brolin, Barry Pepper By: Joe Belcastro The saying, “It’s not about the place, it’s about the people you are with”, refers to the level enjoyment one will have despite a dull setting. True Grit seems to champion that saying. A remake of the 1969 award winning flick – based off the novel by Charles Portis – is laced with patent Coen Brothers (No Country for Old Men) execution. Personally, the methodical, dramatic action pieces the Coen boys take on always seem to lull this reviewer to sleep in random places. For instance, the  [ Read More ]
