While making headlines more for his personal life than his acting career in recent years, Mel Gibson is now claiming that he doesn’t care if he ever acts again, deadline.com is reporting. In his first major interview since his voice mails to ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva were made public last year, Gibson said that “I could easily not act again. Mel Gibson’s new mug shot, in connection to his recent criminal battery case, has been released to the public by TMZ.com. The actor turned himself into the El Segundo Police Department on the night of March 16 to have the picture and his thumb prints taken. After pleading no contest on March 11 to hitting Oksana Grigorieva, his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his youngest daughter, in January 2010, Gibson was sentenced to 16 hours of community service and a year of counseling. It’s a miracle that “The Beaver” will even see the light of day due to the manic, racist and misogynist-laden rants of its star, Mel Gibson. But according to CinemaBlend, the film will have one more hurdle: “Thor”. According to Collider, the 2011 South by Southwest Film Festival will feature three highly-anticipated films among its list of screenings–Paul, Conan O’Brien and The Beaver–however each one are anticipated for very different reasons. The anticipation for the sci-fi comedy Paul has already given the movie a bit of a cult status, partially due to the cast, which includes Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Seth Rogen.
