700 Arrested During Wall Street Protest After Swarming Brooklyn Bridge
Sunday, October 2nd, 2011After swarming the Brooklyn Bridge and blocking traffic for several hours on October 1, approximately 700 protesters were arrested, MSNBC is reporting. The arrests come during the second week of the Occupy Wall Street movement, as marchers began walking across the Brooklyn-bound lanes. The protesters face charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after they failed to listen to police and began straying onto the street. However, some protesters are claiming authorities had tricked and trapped them before the arrests.
