According to Cosmic Book News, a video game tie-in could be released along with “The Dark Knight Rises.” The website references an anonymous UK retailer as well as cpu and gaming website MCV. According to MCV, the retailer has a schedule for 2012 which lists a new Batman game title in the works. The schedule also lists that it will be a physical release instead of a digital one. If there is a game for the film in the works, there’s no doubt it’ll become very popular, especially since this is the last “Batman” film for Christopher Nolan. The cinematography in the “Batman” series has been impeccable, as well as the cinematography in “Inception” and “Moneyball.” The man behind that impeccable level of cinematography, Wally Pfister, is now going to put his skills to the test as a director. According to ScreenRant via Deadline, his directorial debut will be a currently untitled screenplay by new writer Jack Paglen, based on a treatment by Annie Marter, a production assistant on films like “Girl, Interrupted” and “The Door in the Floor.” The film’s principal photography is expected to begin this fall.
