The Parents Television Council (PTC) is claiming NBC failed Americans during Super Bowl XLVI’s halftime show by enabling M.I.A. to flip off the camera during a close-up shot, TMZ is reporting. The parents organization released a statement, saying “It is unfortunate that a spectacular sporting event was overshadowed once again by broadcasting the selfish acts of a desperate performer.” PTC is demanding punishment, saying NBC and NFL knew what could happen during the performance, since they chose a lineup featuring “performers who have based their careers on shock profanity and titillation,” including Madonna and Nicki Minaj. FilmOn Lab is officially launching a legal multi-screen service in February 2012, which will be available to all its yearly US-based subscribers. The company, which is a division of Internet-based HD virtual cable TV service FilmOn.com, will transmit the FilmOn AIR to all its users for free, so that they can watch local network shows on their computers and mobile devices. The FilmOn Air tuner is compatible with most smart phones, tablets, Mac and Windows computers. It tunes into over-the-air ATSC Digital signals already being transmitted by the networks. NBC Picks Up Bryan Fuller's Munsters Pilot

NBC has given Bryan Fuller’s script for ‘The Munsters’ a pilot order, less than two weeks after receiving it, Deadline is reporting. Universal Television will produce the reboot of the 1960s show, which is being described as a visually spectacular one-hour drama. Fuller originally developed the script for the new ‘Munsters’ re-imagining last season. It was one of the few the network kept when new chief Bob Greenblatt took over the network in January 2011. Greenblatt had the series redeveloped by his team, and when Fuller submitted a new outline in September, it was well received.
