Lionsgate Working On Dirty Dancing Reboot

Production Weekly is reporting that Lionsgate is in development of a remake of the classic 1987 film, “Dirty Dancing”, based on a new script by Julia Dahl (“Uptown Girl”). The original classic film starred Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey as a dancing instructor at a Catskills resort and a visiting New Yorker respectively, who fall in love and compete in a local dance competition. Patrick Swayze Makes Appearance on Cancer Awareness Telethon

Actor Patrick Swayze made his first public appearance since being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this year on the Stand Up 2 Cancer telethon Friday night.
