Wanderlust Trailer Brings A Few Laughs With Jennifer Aniston And Paul Rudd

Monday, February 6th, 2012

A new trailer for David Wain’s ‘Wanderlust’ has been released. A comedy starring ‘Friends’ actress Jennifer Aniston, and ‘Our Idiot Brother’ star Paul Rudd, and Malin Akerman of The Bang Bang Club, the upcoming flick has a quirky plot with some funny moments. Although there are a few cheesy and unlikely moments in the trailer, ‘Wanderlust’ follows Rudd and Aniston as Manhattan natives, Linda and George, who decide to live life on the wild side after one of them becomes unemployed. After taking an off-road detour to a 60′s style hippie commune, full of some crazy characters, the laughs begin with a naked guy, an embarrassing bathroom scene, a slow…

Wednesday, January 11th, 2012

Emma Watson, Logan Lerman and the rest of the cast celebrated the holidays at the end of 2011 when they decided to sit down for a Christmas picture for the film “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.” According to MTV Hollywood Crush, Paradiso Films tweeted the picture of the cast surrounded by presents, poinsettias, and Christmas cheer at the end of last year. Even though this isn’t a movie still, per se, it still makes me excited to see more about this film. You can view the holiday picture below. However, if you are looking for a movie still, MTV Hollywood Crush has it. The still features Watson and Lerman…

Title: Our Idiot Brother Directed by: Jesse Peretz Starring: Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Adam Scott, Emily Mortimer, Rashida Jones and Zooey Deschanel Running time: 90 minutes, Rated R, Available on Blu-ray Ned (Paul Rudd)  is just a happy go lucky guy who is extremely naive and honest to a fault, so much that he unintentionally disrupts the lives of his three self-absorbed sisters.  There’s Miranda (Elizabeth Banks) the career-oriented journalist, Liz (Emily Mortimer) the overprotective earthy mother of a sheltered son who is married  to a slimy British documentarian (Steve Coogan), and Natalie (Zooey Deschanel) an artistic, yet career directionally challenged bisexual. Watch The Wanderlust Movie Trailer With Paul Rudd And Jennifer Aniston

Sunday, November 6th, 2011

The first official movie trailer for Wanderlust with Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston has been released. The rom-com comes from director David Wain of Childrens Hospital and Wainy Days. Set for a February 2012 release, the trailer doesn’t do much to draw interest. With the plot previously revealed, and Rudd on board, Wanderlust had sounds of potential, until you watch the first look. Following an urban couple, who end up living in what looks like a hippie commune, the two run into some crazy situations as they learn to adapt. The funniest part of the trailer was the fly paper hanging from the ceiling of Rudd’s office job, and a…

Our Idiot Brother Movie Review

Wednesday, August 24th, 2011

Our Idiot Brother Review Title: Our Idiot Brother Director: Jesse Peretz Starring: Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Emily Mortimer, Steve Coogan, Hugh Dancy, Kathryn Hahn, Rashida Jones, Shirley Knight, TJ Miller, Adam Scott, Janet Montgomery, Sterling K Brown, Matthew Mindler Yes, there’s the saying, “nice guys finish last,” and that’s certainly the case for Our Idiot Brother‘s Ned (Paul Rudd) quite often, but when you’re considering movies, nice movies can get a bit of a boost even when they don’t entirely deserve it. Our Idiot Brother is undoubtedly flawed, but director Jesse Peretz turns up the charm with ease, bringing the best out of his talented cast and some impressively honest,…

DVD Column: Tangled, How Do You Know and The Taqwacores

Tuesday, April 26th, 2011

Coming on the heels of 2009′s underperforming The Princess and the Frog, Disney rolled the dice yet again on a fairly low-fi tale of storybook royalty, in the form of Tangled, based on the fairytale of Rapunzel. A huge $575 million worldwide hit, the movie is a well-rendered throwback that underscores the still existent pleasures of traditional storytelling, amidst all the glitz and glam of more forcibly lively animated fare. Nicely balancing a sense of classic sentimentality with contemporary, gender-equal romance and adventure, Tangled features engaging vocal turns by Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi — as the locked-away Rapunzel and rakish bandit Flynn Rider, respectively — and has enough going on…
