The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Callum Blue (“The Tudors”, “Related”, “The Secret Diary of a Call Girl”), has been cast to join the hit WB TV series “Smallville”‘s ninth season as the infamous General Zod. The Kryptonian villain Zod was actually first introducted in the 1980 film “Superman II”, played by Terence Stamp, though the character was later retconned into the history of the DC comic book character as a ruthless general and enemy of Superman’s family from his home planet, imprisoned and thus spared the destruction of Krypton. MTV’s Splashpage is reporting that fresh off the cancellation of “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”, Brian Austin Green will be joining the cast of the hit TV series “Smallville”.
