Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz and Robert Pattinson (Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon) have been cast to star in the period drama “Unbound Captives,” with Madeleine Stowe making her directorial debut. Under the pseudonym of O.C. Humphrey, Stowe teamed up with her husband, actor Brian Benben, to write the script for “Unbound Captives” for herself to star in, in 1993. Weisz, in the role Stowe would have played, plays a woman whose husband is killed and her two children kidnapped by a Comanche Indian war party in 1859. The UK tabloid “The Sun” is reporting on a rumor that comedian and actor Eddie Murphy will be playing the Riddler, also known as Edward Nigma (“E. Nigma”, or enigma) in the next Christopher Nolan Batman film, which will be following “Batman Begins” and this past summer’s blockbuster “The Dark Knight”. The paper also gives a rough 2010 release date for the as-of-yet announced film, though multiple other names have been rumored to be attached to it, including Johnny Depp in the same role, and Rachel Weisz as the sultry Catwoman. While there is no official word on this, Hollywood rumors are indicating today that Rachel Weisz could be tapped to portray Selina Kyle, aka The Catwoman, in the third Nolan Batman movie, a sequel to this past summer’s smash hit “The Dark Knight”. While Warner Bros will not comment on the rumor or even on the state of any pre-production on another Batman movie, others indicate a strong possibility about the Weisz rumor.
