Lindsay Lohan has been telling friends that she’s thrilled Charlie Sheen has checked into rehab, as she feels he is in a “life or death situation,” TMZ.com is reporting. The ‘Mean Girls’ actress, who herself was discharged from the Betty Ford Center on January 3 after spending three months there, is also saying she’s worried about the ‘Two and a Half Men’ star. Lohan added that Sheen’s behavior has shown “obvious signs of addiction.” She continued by saying she’s positive he can get his life back together if he commits to sobriety and “surrounds himself with positive, sober people.” She also “understands the problem of having the wrong people around.”…

David Arquette is the latest celebrity to voluntarily check into rehab, PEOPLE is reporting. The actor entered a live-in rehab facility to address his alcohol addiction after hosting a New Year’s Eve party at Arquette & Beacher’s Madhouse Theater at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles. During his first interview with Oprah Winfrey on her hit daytime talk show, country singer Keith Urban said he worried that his stay in rehab would affect his new marriage to fellow Australian Nicole Kidman, Usmagazine.com is reporting. Lindsay Lohan was released from her court-ordered rehab on August 24 after only serving 22 days of a 90-day sentence, RadarOnline.com is reporting. The actress first entered UCLA Medical Center on August 2, as ordered by Judge Marsha Revel. Lohan secretly signed her release papers early in the day, in an effort to minimize the amount of press who would be waiting for her when she left the facility. Judge Revel ordered Lohan to 90 days in jail and a 90-day inpatient rehab program on July 6 after she violated her probation from a May 2007 DUI conviction. Heather Locklear has finished her voluntary 30-day, in-patient rehab program for prescription drugs, TMZ reported on July 3. The ‘Melrose Place’ actress successfully completed the program and is doing well, the website also reported. Although Locklear’s entry into rehab coincided with her hit-and-run accident near her Westlake, California home in April, her decision to get treatment had nothing to do with the incident, TMZ added. Chris Klein has checked into rehab after being arrested on the 101 Freeway in L.A., TMZ reported on June 21. TMZ was the first to report that the ‘American Pie’ actor was pulled over on June 16. He was seen weaving between lanes, and had a blood alcohol level of more than .20, nearly three times the legal limit, and was subsequently arrested. According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter.com, Fox Studios has picked up “Rehab,” a comedy project from Sam Laybourne that will be produced by Peter Chernin and Will Gluck. Gluck is considering directing the film as well, which Debbie Liebling is overseeing for the studio. The story centers on a man who fakes addiction in order to end up in a rehab facility so that he can reconnect with his former high school girlfriend, now a famous rock star who is recovering from excess in this facility.
