Sam Worthington To Star In American Crime

Mania.com is reporting that Sam Worthington (“Terminator: Salvation”, “Avatar”, and “Clash of the Titans”) will star in an adaptation of “The Last Days Of American Crime”, the Radical Publishing comic book. Created by Rick Remender, “American Crime” is about low-level career criminal Graham Brick, who is finally working on the big score. Unfortunately, the media leaks a plan by the US government to begin broadcasting a mind-control signal that will eliminate the mental urge to commit illegal activities. Shock Till You Drop is reporting that “Sorrow”, the horror comic from creators Rick Remender, Seth Peck, and Francesco Francavilla, has been optioned for a live-action, big-screen adaptation by Twisted Pictures. Screenwriter Michael Hidalgo is writing the script about a young woman and her friends, who end up stranded in a ghost town where the spirits of the dead are intent on possessing the bodies of the living. Fear Agent Picked Up For Development

Universal is reportedly in early development on “Fear Agent,” the Dark Horse sci-fi title. Currently an open-writing assignment, the studio is interested in developing the title into a film with “Air Force One” producer Jonathan Shestack, who currently has the rights to “Fear Agent”. Rick Remender’s “Fear Agent” centers on Heath Huston, one of the last Fear Agents, a borderline alcoholic Texan astronaut who fights threats to planet Earth.
