A wrongful death lawsuit was filed by David Carradine’s widow Anne on June 3 against the French company MS2 S.A., who was handling the production of the actor’s last movie, ‘Stretch,’ the Associated Press (AP) is reporting. The lawsuit claims the company didn’t provide the proper services to protect him. In the lawsuit, Anne also claims MS2 S.A. didn’t provide her husband with the best possible amenities and an assistant to help him navigate Bangkok, where ‘Stretch’ was filming, and where he died, a year ago. Dennis Hopper's Friends and Family Attend Memorial Mass

Jack Nicholson and Val Kilmer were just some of the many friends and family members who memorialized Dennis Hopper at a mass in Ranchos De Taos, New Mexico, on June 2, the Associated Press (AP) is reporting. The mass was held in a chapel, where the two-time Academy Award-nominated actor’s wood coffin was brought. During the ceremony, Hopper’s son, Henry Lee, read the collection of poems ‘Leaves of Grass’ by Walt Whitman. Other relatives also spoke during the mass, after which the actor’s coffin was taken to a private burial in a funeral procession that included about a half a dozen motorcycles. Rue McClanahan Dies From Stroke

Rue McClanahan, who is most remembered fro playing Blanche Devereaux on the hit NBC series ‘The Golden Girls,’ died on June 3 at the age of 76 from a stroke, the San Francisco Chronicle is reporting.  Her manager, Barbara Lawrence, confirmed the news. While she appeared in off-Broadway and regional plays and other sitcoms throughout her career, McClanahan is recently remembered for undergoing several medical treatments. She recovered from breast cancer in the late 1990s, underwent knee surgery in 2007 and had heart bypass surgery last year. Dennis Hopper Dead at Age 74

On Saturday, May 29th, 2010 iconic actor Dennis Hopper passed away in his Venice Beach home, he was age 74. According to The Associated Press, he was surrounded by family and friends. Perhaps best known for the hit classics “Apocalypse Now”, “Easy Rider”, “Blue Velvet” and “Rebel Without A Cause”. Hopper’s latest work includes a starring role in “An American Carol”, “Hell Ride” and the hit Starz television series “Crash”. In October 2009, Hopper’s manager announced that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family and friends. Simon Monjack, Brittany Murphy Widower, Found Dead in Home

After months of speculation that he had a part in his wife’s death, Brittany Murphy’s widower, Simon Monjack, was found dead in his Hollywood Hills home, PEOPLE reported on May 24.  Monjack’s rep, Roger Neal, said his client, who is also remembered for writing and producing Sienna Miller’s 2006 movie ‘Factor Girl,’ needed a heart bypass, but he kept pushing it aside. Monjack wanted to instead keep his focus on a September gala for the Brittany Murphy Foundation, Neal also said.  He added that his client also died of a broken hear, after Murphy died on December 20. Ronnie James Dio Dead at 67

Heavy Metal icon Ronnie James Dio died today at age 67 in Houston. According to sources, he was being treated for stomach cancer. Here’s a message from his wife; “Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss. Lena Horne Dies at 92

Jazz singer, actress and political activist Lena Horne died on May 9 at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, her son-in-law Kevin Buckley has announced. Hospital spokeswoman Gloria Chin confirmed the news, but would not give further details, Popeater.com is reporting. The 92-year-old started her career as nightclub performer before launching careers in movies, television and theater. Horne’s most famous films include the MGM musicals ‘Cabin in the Sky’ and ‘Stormy Weather.’ But being a spokesperson for civil rights throughout her life, her films were touched by racism and were often censored in Southern states. According to the latest news reports, actor Corey Haim died of pneumonia complications and not an accidental drug overdose as earlier reported, watch the Associated Press report below. Haim, 38 was pronounced dead at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday March 10th at the St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank, California. Actress Dixie Carter Dies from Endometrial Cancer

Actress Dixie Carter, who is most remembered for her roles on such television shows as ‘Designing Women’ and ‘Diff’rent Strokes,’ died on April 10, the Associated Press has reported. Her publicist Steve Rohn confirmed the news, adding that the actress died in Houston from complications of endometrial cancer. Meinhardt Raabe One of Last Surviving Munchkin Dies

Meinhardt Raabe, one of the last surviving Munchkins from ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ died on the morning of April 9, the New York Times is reporting. The 94-year-old actor is presumed to have died from a heart attack. Cindy Bosnyak, Raabe’s caregiver, said he was taken to a hospital after he collapsed and went into cardiac arrest at the Penney Retirement Community in Penney Farms, Florida. He had lived at the community home since 1986, and had complained of a sore throat prior to collapsing. Raabe graduated from the University of Wisconsin and was a World War II veteran. Not even three months after fellow former teen star Brittany Murphy died from the pneumonia and an over-the-counter drug overdose, Corey Haim, who rose to fame during the 1980s in such movies as ‘The Lost Boys’ and ‘Lucas,’ died on March 10. The NY Daily News is reporting he most likely died from an apparent accidental drug overdose. The 38-year-old star was running about a 100 degree fever the day before, and had a doctor make a house call to his mother’s Burbank apartment. Farrah Fawcett Dead at 62

Farrah Fawcett died today of cancer at St. Johns’ Health Center in California. She was 62. The Texan actress and sex symbol whose who shot to fame on “Charlie’s Angels” and later on the critically-acclaimed TV film “The Burning Bed,” was diagnosed with colon cancer in September of 2006. She also gained acclaim for a score of other TV, film, and stage credits through the years, downplaying her “sex symbol” status from the 1970′s. Today The King of Pop Michael Jackson was pronounced dead on June 25, 2009 at 2:26PM Pacific Time in Los Angeles. He was rushed to the UCLA hospital after an apparent cardiac arrest. Michael had been rehearsing for his 50 show comeback tour in London. Michael Jackson was born in Indiana on August 29th, 1958. Michael started his ground breaking music career at a very young age in The Jackson Five group with his four older brothers.
