For the longest, Robin has been a rumored character with the film “The Dark Knight Rises.” With many false rumors popping up–the biggest one being that Joseph Gordon-Levitt would play Batman’s ward–most people have stopped expecting Robin to show up in this final installment. However, comicbook.com has the scoop on what could be a reference to Robin. According to a Reddit user named Rowsdower_Rowsdower, a man with sideburns wearing a Robin-esque domino mask can be seen in the Selena Kyle/Bruce Wayne masquerade ball scene in the film’s trailer. The CW Cancels Plans For The Graysons

Variety is reporting that Warner Bros. and the TV network the CW are scrapping plans for “The Graysons”, a “Smallville”-style show about the pre-Boy Wonder days of Dick Grayson, known in the Batman mythos as the first Robin. The CW was initially counting on “The Graysons” to fill the void of the likely end of “Smallville”, which tells the story of a young pre-Superman Clark Kent growing up and discovering his powers and heritage, but Jeff Robinov, the Warner Bros group prexy, pulled the plug, though he’d initially given the concept his blessing when first announced. The CW Going Ahead With Robin And The Graysons

Variety is reporting that TV channel the CW is preparing to start production on a TV series based on Batman’s original sidekick, Robin the Boy Wonder. To be more precise, the series, which is being compared to the channel’s current origins series “Smallville”, which focuses on a teenaged Clark Kent, aka Superman, the series will focus on the early pre-Robin days of the original sidekick of the Batman, Dick Grayson.
