According to Variety, 20th Century Fox has their eyes on Mark Wahlberg to play Max Payne in the live action adaptation of the hit video game by Rockstar. Director John Moore who also directed Behind Enemy Lines, The Omen and Flight of the Phoenix to direct. The script is written by Beau Thorne and produced by Julie Yorn from Firm Films. Mark Walberg will play Max Payne a troubled NYPD cop who sets out to find the man who is responsible for the violent murder of his wife and baby daughter. The film will begin shooting early next year.
