Spy Hunter Film Moving Ahead

Warner Bros. Pictures is moving forward with developing a big screen adaptation of “Spy Hunter”, the Midway Games’ video game. Dan Lin (“Sherlock Holmes”) and Roy Lee of Vertigo are producing the project. Chad St. John is set to write the film’s script. “Spy Hunter” is about a highly-trained government agent who traverses the globe, hunting down rogue spies who are now a threat to the government they used to work for and protect. Before being acquired by Warner Bros., the rights were held Universal, had John Woo and Paul W.S. The Strangers 2 Movie Begins Shooting This Fall

Variety.com is reporting that “The Strangers 2″ movie, a sequel to the 2008 horror film starring Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman, is going to start filming this fall. The film will be produced by Ryan Kavanaugh from Relativity, Vertigo’s Roy Lee and Doug Davison, and Nathan Kahane from Mandate. Tucker Tooley from Relativity, Joe Drake from Mandate, Sonny Mahli from Vertigo and Trevor Macy and Marc Evans from Intrepid are all on-board to act as executive producers. Buffy The Vampire Slayer Possibly Headed For A Return

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that a new “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” film could be in the works soon. While creator Joss Whedon isn’t involved and so far the project hasn’t been attached to any studio, Roy Lee and Doug Davison of Vertigo Entertainment and Fran Rubel Kuzui and her husband, Kaz Kuzui, the original film’s director and her husband, are working on a remake of the original film. While Whedon is the person most associated with “Buffy,” Kuzui and her Kuzui Enterprises have held onto the rights of the original film despite Whedon’s association with the property.
