The ensemble relationship drama ‘Last Night,’ starring Keira Knightley, Sam Worthington, Eva Mendes and Guillaume Canet, has been picked up for a theatrical and video-on-demand release by Tribeca Film and Miramax, the two studios jointly announced as via a press release. ‘Last Night,’ which was written and is being helmed by first-time director Massy Tadjedin, follow a married couple that is separated for an evening; the husband is on a business trip with a colleague, and the wife comes across a former love. Casting rumors have already begun circulating around ‘Wrath of the Titans,’ the upcoming sequel to last year’s action movie ‘Clash of the Titans,’ Collider.com is reporting. Director Jonathan Liebesman, who is replacing Louis Leterrier for the follow-up after the original received heavy criticism, has already confirmed that Edgar Ramirez and Toby Kebbell have already been cast. In my dream world, films would need at least a 60% on the Tomatometer to permit the making of a sequel, but sadly, critical reception holds no bearing upon the green light of subsequent films, only the box office does.
