ShockYa met up recently with actor Paul Reubens (aka Pee-Wee Herman) on the Spike TV Scream Awards 2011 red carpet. In this interview, Paul Reubens talks with ShockYa’s Brandy Barnum about his upcoming Pee-Wee Herman feature film produced by Judd Apatow (Bridesmaids, Get Him to the Greek, Pineapple Express) being distributed by Universal. According to Variety, Paul Reubens will be co-writing the script with Paul Rust (The Pee-Wee Herman Show on Broadway). Paul Reubens has been tapped to receive this year’s Visionary Award at Spike TV’s Scream Awards. Reubens will be receiving the award for his iconic character, Pee-wee Herman. Reubens’ character was created in 1978 and was the main character of the 22-time Emmy winning show “Pee-wee’s Playhouse.” Reubens went on to make the film “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure” with director Tim Burton and go on Broadway with “The Pee-wee Herman Show.” “If Pee-wee were giving this quote, I think he’d scream out ‘I’m a visionary! The nominees for the 2011 Spike TV Scream Awards have been announced!
