Warner Bros. and New Line have announced the release date for “Sex and the City 2″, the sequel to the 2008 film. It hits theaters on May 28, 2010. The first big-screen adaptation of the hit HBO series, based on the 1997 novel by Candace Bushnell, was a box office hit, opening to $57 million on its way to accumulating $152.6 million domestically. The film made grossed $260 million at the international box office for a worldwide total of $412.6 million. The film will star Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon.
