According to The Hollywood Reporter, Steve Carell and Keira Knightley are in talks to star in a comedy called, “Seeking a Friend at the End of the World”. The film chronicles the journey a man (Carell) takes to find a meaningful relationship amid the end times of the world. It’s wise to assume Knightley would be the person Carell’s character finds a connection with. The film is written by Lorene Scafaria, part of the all-female writing group known as the Fempire, which also includes Diablo Cody, Liz Meriwhether, and Dana Fox. Steve Carell joins drama Dogs of Babel

The studio announced today that Steve Carell will star in “Dogs of Babel’, a drama being made by Mandate Pictures. Carell will also produce the film along with Heyday Film’s David Heyman, Dooma Wendschuh and Corey May of Sekretagent Productions. There currently is no director, but that is supposed to change very soon. The film, an adaptation of a novel by Carolyn Parkhurst, follows a linguistics professor (Carell) who finds his wife dead in their backyard. Steve Carell to Leave The Office Before Season Finale

Steve Carell, who has played Michael Scott on NBC’s hit comedy series ‘The Office’ since 2005, won’t wait until the current season’s finale to leave the role that helped make him famous, TVGuide.com is reporting. The showrunner for the mockumentary, Paul Lieberstein, has said that instead of finishing the season, as originally planned, Carell will be featured in a number of episodes until April. After Carell leaves, the American spin-off of the hit British series will feature four more episodes for its seventh season, which will dramatize his departure. Steve Carell to Play a Rock Star’s Son in New Movie

Steve Carell has decided what his next project will be after leaving his hit NBC series ‘The Office’ at the end of this season, Cinemablend.com is reporting. The actor will be starring in a new comedy movie, tentatively titled ‘Imagine,’ in which he plays a man who discovers he’s the love child of an aging rock star. In honor of Father’s Day, Universal released this brand new Despicable Me poster in which the world’s best villain is being showered with affection by his minions and his new friends, three orphan girls, Margo, Edith and Agnes. Despicable Me has gotten into the holiday sprit a number of times since marketing kicked off. Back in April we got a basket of minions for Easter and then two minion salutes to mom for Mother’s Day. Casting Announced For Dinner For Schmucks

According to Variety.com, Bruce Greenwood and David Walliams have been announced as joining Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, and Zach Galifianakis in the Jay Roach-directed comedy “Dinner for Schmucks,” from Paramount, DreamWorks and Spyglass. Walliams, best known as part of the comedy team from the British comedy series “Little Britain”, plays a Swiss banker that Tim Conrad, played by Rudd, and his Fender Financial coworkers hope to impress to get him to invest with them. Liotta Kunis Ruffalo Join The Cast Of Date Night

Ray Liotta, Mila Kunis and Mark Ruffalo have joined the cast of “Date Night” alongside Tina Fey and Steve Carell. Shawn Levy will be directing, from Josh Kausner’s script. The three will be among the many characters that Fey and Carell encounter as a couple on a date that goes horribly awry. MTV has reported that Jay Roach-helmed project Dinner with Schmucks has officially got the greenlight and a new cast: Paul Rudd and Steve Carell.
