Milla Jovovich Claims Summit Didn't Adequately Promote The Three Musketeers

Sunday, October 23rd, 2011

Milla Jovovich is claiming Summit Entertainment didn’t adequately promote her new action-adventure film ‘The Three Musketeers’ in the U.S., according to The Hollywood Reporter. The actress publicly called out the distribution company on October 21, the day the movie hit theaters in America, via Twitter. She said “Are ‘Summit’ promoting it as a family adventure movie? Or are they resting on their laurels from ‘Twilight’ and making no effort? Let me know!” Jovovich tweeted her discontent as she was flying to Tokyo to attend the Tokyo International Film Festival, where ‘The Three Musketeers’ was serving as the opening movie. She added “I think ‘Summit’ have swept ‘The Three Musketeers, a…

Movie News Cheat Sheet: Farmville, Steve Jobs And Dr. Seuss May All Get The Big Screen Treatment

Sunday, October 9th, 2011

Ever wonder how many projects go into development only to never see a green light? Well, there’s a lot, but that doesn’t stop studios from announcing potential projects. Not only do we have a Farmville movie in the works, but one about Steve Jobs and one about Dr. Seuss, too. Of the bunch, the latter two are the most likely to come to fruition while Farmville could be a ways away. Then again, even if a Farmville movie does happen, how much of the narrative could really be based on the game? Also in the development stage is the big screen version of the TV show Friday Night Lights. While…

SDCC 2011: All Good Things Must Come To An End ... With A Giveaway!

Monday, July 25th, 2011

I can’t believe it, but this is officially it; my coverage of San Diego Comic Con 2011 has come to a close. For five incredibly long days, the experience went by in a flash. The action was non-stop from the moment I touched down in San Diego and while it was extremely exhausting and probably one of the most trying working experiences I’ve ever gone through, it was beyond worth it. So, what’d you think? Did you like my coverage choices? Were the formats I chose to report in effective? Do let me know because I’m thrilled to say, it looks as though I’ll be returning to Comic Con next…

SDCC 2011: Interview With Warm Bodies Author Isaac Marion

Monday, July 25th, 2011

A zombie story can be autobiographic, right? Okay, not exactly, but real life inspiration did help author Isaac Marion develop his book Warm Zombies to an extent. Marion joined Summit Entertainment at San Diego Comic Con, as the studio has snatched up his pieces to bring it to the big screen. In fact, the lead roles have already been cast. Nicholas Hoult will star as R, a zombie who’s a little more alert than his moaning and mindless counterparts. Teresa Palmer will step in as Julie, a living and breathing human who winds up crossing paths with R, becoming his friend rather than his next meal. Warm Bodies features a…

SDCC 2011: Saturday Wrap Up And Photos

Sunday, July 24th, 2011

I can’t believe it, but I’ve reached the finish line. Saturday at San Diego Comic Con 2011 has come to a close. While I’m certainly looking forward to a long day’s rest and not having to lug my hefty laptop around everywhere I go, my coverage schedule wrapping up is a bit sad. At least it all ended on a high note. Today was another non-stop adventure beginning with Summit Entertainment’s The Darkest Hour presentation. Unlike the big panels in Hall H, this was far more intimate, Summit inviting a group of reporters to a suite in the Hard Rock Hotel to check out some concept art, stills and the…
