The Knights of the Round Table assembled earlier Wednesday to talk about their roles in the newest season of “Merlin.” Tom Hopper (Sir Percival), Adetomiwa Edun (Sir Elyan), Rupert Young (Sir Leon) and Eoin Macken (Sir Gwaine) obviously bring a lot of zest to an already popular show; off-screen, they seem like a real group of comrades, joking with each other like a true band of brothers. All of the actors were fans of “Merlin” before becoming a part of it. “I did [watch it] because it was a wonderful show,” said Macken. “They [the episodes] were written really, really well, and then we came along and ruined it.” Through…

Interview: Jason Connery discusses '51' and directing low-budget films

Thursday, March 31st, 2011

Actor turned – well turning – director Jason Connery is the latest to helm a flick that focuses on the infamous Area 51. Aptly titled, “51″. The sci-fi horror piece has hit the Syfy channel and is available through On-Demand services at the moment. Some are embracing it for what it is, while the rest are giving it the usual low-budget, made for television labeling. Funny thing is, that is what director Jason Connery was apparently going for in some respects. Numerous films have touched upon Area 51. So I was curious if Connery is trying to evolve this storyline or just have the same mindless fun that audiences have…
