Warner Bros. has announced release dates for a slew of upcoming projects, including the highly-anticipated big screen adaptation of DC Comics’ “Green Lantern”, which will hit theaters December 17th, 2010.
The story will follow test pilot Hal Jordan, who is selected by the alien Green Lantern Corps to become one of them after the death of one of their greatest members, Abin Sur. Hal is chosen for being “utterly honest and without fear”, and must uphold the oath of the Corps to “let no evil [...] escape my sight” as he battles evil both on Earth as well as across the universe.

“Casino Royale” director Martin Campbell is reportedly negotiating with Warner Bros to officially be tapped as the director of “Green Lantern”, a live-action adaptation of DC Comics’ emerald-green ring-slinging space cop character.

Valhalla Motion Pictures, Top Cow, and Platinum Studios teamed up last summer to brainstorm on what’s been announced as a big-screen adaptation of the Top Cow comic character “Magdalena”, which will star Jenna Dewan as the titular heroine, and Luke Goss as Kristof, her mentor.
