Following in the footsteps of its change in the voting format for the Video Music Awards (VMAs), MTV has decided to allow viewers to choose the nominees for its upcoming Movie Awards ceremony. The music network announced via a press release on March 29 that viewers can log onto MovieAwards.MTV.com through 6p.m. ET on April 9th to decide the nominees in the show’s 13 categories. The winners for the 19th annual ceremony will be decided from the final list of nominees between May 11th and June 5th.
