Online’s Ryan Seacrest talked to actress Eva Longoria during the red carpet run-up to the 2009 Golden Globes last, to talk to her about rumors regarding her appearing in the much-anticipated big-screen Marvel superhero team-up film, the film adaptation of “The Avengers.” Longoria told Seacrest that the rumor regarding her being cast as Janet Van Dyne, aka the superheroine The Wasp, was “not true.” However, she did say that if the opportunity presented itself she would take the role. The Wasp, also known as Janet van Dyne/Janet Pym is a founding member of the Marvel Comics team the Avengers, as was also known for being the unofficial “fashion queen”…

The writers of the acclaimed summer smash of 2008, “Iron Man”, starring Robert Downey Jr, Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, who are rumored to be also penning “Iron Man 2″, are agreeing with a statement made by “The Incredible Hulk” director Louis Leterrier about the future of Marvel Studio’s “Avengers” movie. Leterrier told MTV News back in June that the Avengers movie, tentatively predicted for 2011, should fall back on the classic Avengers origin story of fighting the Hulk.
