Mickey Rourke (“The Wrestler”, “Iron Man 2″) has been confirmed to join the cast of Marcus Nispel’s “Conan,” playing the father of the titular character. Rourke joins Jason Momoa and Leo Howard in the Lionsgate film, the latest adaptation of Robert E. Howard’s pulp barbarian hero of a lost era. The film, which stars filming March 15th in Bulgaria, is about Conan’s quest to avenge the slaughter of his people. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Columbia has tapped Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer (“Sahara”, “Dead Of Night”, “Cowboys & Aliens”) to script the adaptation of the hit video game “Uncharted: Drake Fortune” for the big screen.
