2012 Release Date Moved

Sony Pictures has announced that it will have to delay the release of filmmaker Roland Emmerich’s latest big budget disaster movie, 2012. The studio is moving the film’s release date from July 10th, 2009 to November 13th, 2009, in hopes to have a smash hit over the Thanksgiving holiday season. The movie, which is about an academic researcher who leads a group of people in a fight to counteract the apocalyptic events that were predicted by the ancient Mayan calendar, stars John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Thandie Newton, Woody Harrelson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Oliver Platt and Danny Glover.
