Cast Announced For The Kings Speech

Variety is reporting that Guy Pierce, Geoffry Rush, Golin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter, Jennifer Ehle, Derek Jacobi, Timothy Spall and Michael Gambon have all been cast in “The King’s Speech,” which is being directed by Tom Hooper. The film is the story of a young King George VI of England, as he takes the throne after his older brother Edward abdicates. Plagued by a nervous stammer in his speech, he turns to the unconventional speech therapist Lionel Logue, who helps him find his voice as WW2 looms on the horizon.
