Chris Pine's Jack Ryan Reboot Slow in Development
Tuesday, March 29th, 2011After the success Chris Pine saw in 2009′s ‘Star Trek,’ Paramount decided to feature him in a rebooted movie featuring author Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan character. But the reboot, tentatively titled ‘Moscow,’ is still in development, and may be pushed back again so that Paramount can instead focus on the ‘Star Trek’ sequel, Slashfilm.com is reporting. The distribution company is now hoping to start filming ‘Star Trek 2′ in fall 2011. Production on ‘Moscow’ has reportedly stalled because screenwriter Steve Zaillian, who worked on previous Jack Ryan movies, ‘Patriot Games’ and ‘Clear and Present Danger,’ has pulled out.
