“Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close,” starring Sandra Bullock, Tom Hanks and Thomas Horn, has the intention of being a bittersweet story about a boy believing his father left him a message before he died in the Twin Towers on 9/11. However, critics seem to be mixed as to how to take the film. According to Rotten Tomatoes, the film has garnered a 46% rating from the critics, meaning that it’s “rotten,” but only barely. Yahoo To Present Tom Hanks' Animated Series Electric City

Yahoo! has announced plans to debut long time actor Tom Hanks’ digital animated series, Electric City, this year. The new Tom Hanks created venture, set in the future, is a 90 minute science fiction series that includes plenty of action and adventure. Per Market Watch, the ‘Extremely Close and Incredibly Loud’ will star in the series as well. Electric City will be presented on Yahoo in multiple parts, and will be available for fans on tablets, connected TV, and in several different languages. Ron Howard won’t be directing the film adaptation of The Lost Symbol, the third book in Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon series, Deadline is reporting. Howard only wants to produce the final film in the trilogy, instead of directing it, even though he helmed its two predecessors, 2006′s ‘The Da Vinci Code’ and 2009′s ‘Angels and Demons.’ Howard reportedly told Amy Pascal and Michael Lynton from Sony Pictures, which released the first two films in the series, that he doesn’t want to continually tell the same stories with the same character over and over.
