The Hollywood Reporter says that long-time visual effects supervisor Eric Brevig has signed on to direct the film adaptation of the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon Yogi Bear. Brevig, who recently directed Journey to the Center of the Earth under Warner Brothers, says Yogi Bear will be featured in 3-D using a combination of live action and CG similar to Alvin and the Chipmunks. Yogi Bear will also be produced under the Warner Bros. name.
