Showtime has canceled the comedy-drama series ‘United States of Tara’ after three seasons, but has renewed fellow dark comedy ‘Nurse Jackie’ for a fourth season, TVLine is reporting. ‘United States of Tara,’ which was created by ‘Juno’ writer Diablo Cody and Steven Spielberg, starred Toni Collette in the title role, a mother with multiple personalities. The actress won the 2009 Emmy Award and 2011 Golden Globe for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
