Universal Pictures has confirmed the upcoming sixth installment of ‘The Fast and the Furious’ franchise, tentatively titled ‘Fast and Furious 6,’ will be released over the 2013 Memorial Day weekend, on May 24, ComingSoon is reporting. The news comes after the latest installment, ‘Fast Five,’ grossed nearly $600 million at the box office worldwide when it was released in April 2011. The amount contributes to the franchise’s $1.5 billion international gross.
