Universal Pictures is currently developing a new version of the hit 1932 film ‘Scarface’ and its popular 1983 remake starring Al Pacino, Deadline is reporting. The studio is meeting writers to pen a script for a new version that will be produced by Marc Shmuger and his Global Producer banner with Martin Bregman, who worked on the Pacino film. Universal Pictures has confirmed the upcoming sixth installment of ‘The Fast and the Furious’ franchise, tentatively titled ‘Fast and Furious 6,’ will be released over the 2013 Memorial Day weekend, on May 24, ComingSoon is reporting. The news comes after the latest installment, ‘Fast Five,’ grossed nearly $600 million at the box office worldwide when it was released in April 2011. The amount contributes to the franchise’s $1.5 billion international gross.
