March 24th has been slated for the DVD and Blu-Ray release of “Tales Of The Black Feighter”, the animated “story within a story” pirate comic that is being read within the pages of DC/Vertigo’s “Watchmen” as the story unfolds of flawed and tragic human superheroes struggle to unravel a mystery that threatens their whole world. Check out some more concept art from the upcoming remake of “Judge Dredd”. The original 1995 film by director Danny Cannon starred Sylvester Stallone, Armand Assante, Rob Schneider and Diane Lane. There is no official word yet on who will direct or star in this version of “Judge Dredd”. All that we know is that the film is tentatively scheduled to be released sometime in 2012. Science fiction website io9 and DC/Vertigo artists’ blog Standard Attrition have premiered concept art from the upcoming adaptation of the classic British dystopic sci-fi comic “Judge Dredd”. You can check out the complete gallery of images by “Green Arrow; Year One” and “Hellblazer” artist Jock over at io9.com. “Fables” from DC Comics is headed to the small screen, courtesy of ABC. ABC, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Newsarama, and Comic Book Resources.com, has handed out a “put pilot commitment” to the project, based on the comic book created by Bill Willingham in 2002 and published by DC’s Vertigo imprint, about “Fables”, fairy tale characters from another world, living among us in a community on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
