The day after Dr. Conrad Murray was found guilty in committing involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson, TMZ reported that a documentary about Murray and his relationship with Jackson will air in the United States. According to the site, the documentary, Murray agreed to participate in the documentary, called “Michael Jackson and The Doctor: A Fatal Friendship,” was shot during the time Murray was waiting for his manslaughter trial to start. The documentary is supposed to show “shockingly candid” footage of Murray’s preparation for the trial, which also involves some heavy fighting between the lawyers acting as Murray’s representation. The “Harold & Kumar” movie series is currently getting ready to get in the Christmas spirit with “A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas,” but Lionsgate is also shopping an animated television show around to potential buyers. According to The Hollywood Reporter and sources close to the project, John Co and Kal Penn, the stars of the movies, are set to reprise their roles for the animated show, and the scriptwriters behind “A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas,” Hayden Schlossberg and Jon Hurwitz will write the show’s script. H&M is known for their trendy clothes, but now they’ve gotten extra trendy by seeing the fashion value in the wardrobe of the main character of “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,” Lisbeth. According to AOL Moviefone, the costume designer for “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,” Trish Summerville, has paired with H&M to create a line of Lisbeth-inspired clothes. “We took her basic pieces that we used throughout the film and did a little more fashionable version for H&M,” she told Moviefone. Martin Scorsese’s “Hugo” has already been called possibly the best 3D movie ever, so the hype is high for this film, which comes to theaters November 23, 2011. The film, which stars Asa Butterfield, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Lee, is based on the Brian Selznick novel “The Invention of Hugo Cabret”, adapted to film by John Logan. The film follows Hugo (Butterfield), an orphan boy who is also a thief, and clock keeper living inside a Paris train station. Firefighters are people who are close to Denis Leary’s heart–his cousin and childhood friend were firefighters, and tragically, his cousin, friend and four other firefighters were killed in a 1999 Worchester, Mass. fire. Leary, who also played a firefighter in “Rescue Me,” along with Jim Serpico, his partner at his production company Apostle, will executive produce the feature film “BURN,” a documentary about Detroit firefighters directed by Tom Putnman and Brenna Sanchez. The film is looking to show at the 2012 winter festival circuit and there are plans for a theatrical release.
