Marc Silvestri, best known in comics as a renowned artist on the “X-Men” titles, one of the cofounders of Image Comics, Top Cow CEO and executive producer of the big-screen adaptation of “Wanted”, is taking on the executive producer role again for an upcoming comic book adaptation.
Variety and MTV Splashpage are reporting that he has found a director for “Magdalena”, a big-screen adaptation of the long-running Top Cow character that will star Jenna Dewan and Luke Goss. Ryûhei Kitamura (”Midnight Meat Train”) will be directing.

Superhero Hype is reporting that Timur Bekmabetov has confirmed that the tentatively-titled “Wanted 2″ is in the works, a follow-up to last summer’s adaptation of “Wanted”, the cult comic book by Mark Millar.
Bekmabetov told “RIA Novosti”, a Russian news site, that “In July we will start preparation for the film. I think in the late autumn or winter shooting will be performed. Comic book writer Mark Millar (”Wanted”, “The Ultimates”) is speaking out about the decision to have screenwriter Evan Spiliotopoulos attached to Universal’s “Wanted 2″, which will be based on a story by Chris Morgan.
Millar specifically mentioned on his website’s message board the Spiliotopoulos’s credit as co-writer of “Pooh’s Heffalump Movie” and the straight-to-DVD spin-off in the Winnie The Pooh franchise. He said;

Valhalla Motion Pictures, Top Cow, and Platinum Studios teamed up last summer to brainstorm on what’s been announced as a big-screen adaptation of the Top Cow comic character “Magdalena”, which will star Jenna Dewan as the titular heroine, and Luke Goss as Kristof, her mentor. Mark Millar, the comic book scribe behind the supervillain hit Wanted, which recently made the jump to the big screen this past July, recently talked to Superhero Hype about the Hollywood interest in his latest work War Heroes.
