Something Borrowed Movie Review

Friday, May 6th, 2011

Title: Something Borrowed Director: Luke Greenfield (‘The Girl Next Door’) Starring: Kate Hudson, Ginnifer Goodwin (HBO’s ‘Big Love’), Colin Egglesfield (CW’s ‘Melrose Place’), John Krasinski (NBC’s ‘The Office), Steve Howey (CW’s ‘Reba’) Turning 30 still often scares people, as they start to examine their life choices and question if they’ve made the right decisions. Brolin May Have Burton Direct 'Hunchback Of Notre Dame'

Tuesday, March 1st, 2011

If you’re directly involved in it, the day and night surrounding the Oscars must be loads of fun. You would figure that between the ridiculous amounts of celebrities, awards, food and drinks that you get at the after parties, that specific Sunday out of the year must be absolutely wonderful. Perhaps it’s even a pinch more so for actor Josh Brolin. He wasn’t nominated this year for an Academy Award, but he came up and presented in a funky-looking tuxedo. You figure he worked his magic with that outfit or gave one great pitch, because now his next project happens to be “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.” Brolin is developing…

Scorsese And DiCaprio Take On 'The Wolf Of Wall Street'

Thursday, February 17th, 2011

A short while ago the feature film version of Jordan Belfort’s “The Wolf of Wall Street” was nestled up at Warner Bros with Ridley Scott attached to direct. That’s not the case anymore, especially since “Wolf” is no longer in Warner Bros’ possession. Rick Yorn, best known as Leonardo DiCaprio’s manager, has secured independent financing for “Wolf.” Of course that means Leonardo DiCaprio is set to star in “Wolf” with Martin Scorsese directing the project. That’s certainly quite a sudden leap from where it was previously. “Wolf of Wall Street” focuses on Jordan Belfort, former kingpin of the notorious investment firm Stratton Oakmont, which became one of the most infamous…

Guy Ritchie

Guy Ritchie Could Take On 'Xerxes'

Tuesday, February 15th, 2011

Another great filmmaking opportunity has landed in director Guy Ritchie’s lap. Right now he’s filming the sequel to a box office hit (“Sherlock Holmes 2″), but he may have “Xerxes” in his grasp. Warner Bros Pictures offered Ritchie the chance to direct the prequel to “300.” Filmmaking life may be going great for Guy Ritchie, but what happened to Zack Snyder? The “Watchmen” director was previously attached to take on “Xerxes” for awhile. Well, there’s a couple of reasons why Ritchie could dip his feet into a comic book adapted feature, and the first happens to be the untitled “Superman” sequel. Snyder is currently set to direct the latest installment…
