Summit Entertainment has confirmed that principal photography for the spy-thriller movie “Red”, based on the DC Comics graphic novel written by Warren Ellis, has began in Toronto. The novel follows the life of Frank Moses, a former CIA agent, set to be played by Bruce Willis. Moses is living a normal life until an assassin comes looking for him. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Julian McMahon, Ernest Borgnine, Richard Dreyfuss and Brian Cox are all in talks to finalize their joining the cast of “Red”, the adaptation of the action espionage comic book by renowned author Warren Ellis and artist Cully Hamner. “Red” is about a retired special ops hitman, played by Willis, who goes on the warpath when sis existence is ordered to be covered up by the shadowy government forces he once worked for.
