The 33 Chilean miners who were trapped underground last year have now signed with WME, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The miners’ deal with WME comes after their visit to Los Angeles earlier in the year in an effort to shop around their story. Paz Vega, Daniel Bruhl and Mia Maestro have all been cast to star in indie drama “Castro’s Daughter.” Shooting expected to start in Puerto Rico in late spring. Bobby Moresco, (“Crash”) wrote the script alongside Nilo Cruz (“Anna In The Tropics”) and will be directing alongside Paul Haggis. John Torres Martinez is packaging the project for WME, with Joe Lamy onboard as an executive prodcer.
