Warner Bros. and New Line Halt Y: The Last Man Adaptation

Warner Bros. and New Line are scrapping the planned adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan’s comic book ‘Y: The Last Man,’ at least for the time being. Louis Leterrier, who directed such movies as ‘The Incredible Hulk’ and ‘Clash of the Titans,’ was at one time attached to bring the comic to the big screen. Shia LaBeouf Officially Not In Y The Last Man Adaptation

Despite numerous rumors to the contrary in the past two years, Shia LaBeouf, who is slated to appear in the upcoming “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, will not be starring in a big-screen adaptation of Brian K. Vaughn and Pia Guerra’s hit comic book series “Y: The Last Man”, which is slated to be directed by D.J. Caruso and written by Carl Ellsworth. Talking to Wizard Magazine, LaBeouf confirmed that he was not involved with “Y: The Last Man”, which told the story of Yorick, the literal last man on the planet Earth after a plague decimated humanity by killing off all the men and male children on the planet….

“Disturbia” and “Eagle Eye” director DJ Caruso recently sat down and talked with ComingSoon.net, and among other things talked about the silver-screen adaptation of the hit comic series “Y: The Last Man” starring Shia LaBeouf.
