Drama, drama, drama. And no, I’m not referring to the genre. We’ve got folks at odds all throughout the industry. India’s Central Board of Film Certification isn’t happy with the level of nudity in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but David Fincher isn’t willing to make the required cuts, so it looks like Dragon Tattoo will be a no go for India. Similarly, Hungary gave a rather naughty Shame poster the thumbs down. On the other hand, we’ve also got quite a bit of film appreciation floating around out there, namely the nominations for the 84th Academy Awards. Hugo topped the pack with 11 honors while The Artist followed…

A new vintage poster for director Lee Daniels The Paperboy has been released. Due out in theaters sometime this coming New Year, the first look features and older looking Zac Efron sitting shotgun across from Nicole Kidman with a devilish smirk. Matthew McConaughey is seen lingering in the backdrop, with a crazy looking John Cusack below the scene. An interesting cast line-up, the new thriller follows McConaughey in the role of Ward James, a reporter who returns home to Florida to investigate and save a man on death row. Efron plays his younger brother and sidekick. Efron is also the guy who decides to have an affair with the much…

Not many people liked “Valentine’s Day,” and for an understandable reason; there was just too many stars in the film and there were too many storylines for there to be a clean follow-through in the story. The same is true for “New Year’s Eve,” according to the critics on Rotten Tomatoes. The film, starring too many stars (but to name a few, Zac Efron, Halle Berry, Robert De Niro and Sarah Jessica Parker), garnered a 6% from critics, but the audience gave it a solid 60%, showing that this movie, like “Valentine’s Day,” is a crowd-pleaser even though critics hate it. However, let’s read why the critics hate it: “It’s…

While the Cheat Sheet is normally packed with the usual suspects – The Hunger Games, The Dark Knight Rises and Twilight, just to name a few – this time around, we’ve got some rather unique stories to share. Unfortunately for Howard Stern, he’s part of the bunch as a hole in his team led to the leaking of Super 8. Another punch to the gut also goes out to 3D technology, as a recent study proves the extra dimension does nothing to enhance a story, rather only offers the potential for discomfort. On the brighter side, Kenny Ortega snagged a dream of a gig, as he’s been recruited to direct…

“There’s going to be more celebrities here than rehab,” says Katherine Heigl’s cahracter in the newly-released “New Year’s Eve” trailer. While the character was talking about people being in Times Square for New Year’s Eve, that statement could have applied to the movie itself. Just like its predecessor “Valentine’s Day,” it seems like everyone who’s alive in Hollywood is in this movie. The trailer, which is embedded below, shows a lot but really nothing at all except for fluffy, happy, easy-going rom-com movie tidbits. Basically, the story is the same as “Valentine’s Day,” except that Ashton Kutcher and Jessica Biel are playing two different characters (I assume Hector Elizondo, who…

Everyone has their own opinions about the film adaptations of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas, “The Cat in the Hat”and “Horton Hears a Who”. Most of those opinions are negative ones. But yet another Dr. Seuss book is being made into a film. According to ScreenCrave, “The Lorax” is being made into a film. At the very least, it’s not going to be live-action. It’ll be an animated film that will star the voice stylings of Danny DeVito as the Lorax, Taylor Swift as the love interest to Zac Efron’s character, who is on the hunt for the Lorax, Betty White as Efron’s character’s grandmother, and “Daily Show” stars Ed…
